Condo Spotlight – Oceanview Condos at Vista Bahia in the Hollywood Riviera

Sitting just off of the the Esplanade in South Redondo Beach and Torrance*, welcome to the condo complex of Vista Bahia in the Hollywood Riviera. Located at 201 Calle Miramar, Vista Bahia offers a great opportunity to live just steps from the beach and the downtown area of Riviera Village at a reasonable price. The building is right at the corner of Esplanade and Paseo De La Playa which are two of the most sought after streets in all of the South Bay.

Vista Bahia consists of 35 one and two bedroom single level condos ranging between a little over 1,000 feet to over an impressive 2,500 feet. As the balconies were enclosed at one point in time, the units have a quirky “office” or den type area along the windows.
The only thing between the ocean and the building is Miramar Park (with no real structures to obscure the view) so the views can be amazing and top floor units enjoy panoramic ocean views.
Parking at Vista Bahia is in a gated subteranean lot and units either have one or two designated spots. There is also additional storage for bikes, surfboards and other small items.
HOA dues range from about $350 – $400 (as of January 2020) and the building has a number of nice amenities and features including:

2019 Condo Sales in Seascape and The Village Redondo Beach
Welcome to the year that was for real estate and condo sales in the oceanview complexes of Seascapes 1,2,3 and The Village Redondo Beach. These 4 oceanview complexes saw 24 condos that sold in 2019 The median list price was $794,000 and the median sales price was $782,500 indicating a very strong “sellers” market. The lowest priced sale of the year was at $480,000 for a top floor studio unit (was the highest priced studio ever sold) at 610 The Village #302, with the highest priced sale of the year being a penthouse 2 bedroom + loft in Seascape 3 that sold for $1,275,000.

Big House…..Big Price. South Redondo Home Tests the Market
There are not a lot of $4.oM+ homes that come on the market in Redondo Beach as that’s usually only rarified pricing found in Manhattan and Hermosa Beach. The home at 1203 South Gertruda in South Redondo Beach is an exception. It’s a very large home with a notable price tag of $4,199,000 which happens to be the only currently priced over $4.0M (with the exception of one oceanfront home on the Esplande).
