1062 Avenue C in Redondo Beach the Top Sale of the Month

After almost 6 months on the market this beautiful new construction home closes escrow

1062 Avenue C, Redondo Beach, CA 90277 - Sold at $3,805,000

While the real estate market in Redondo Beach and most of the South Bay are as hot as ever, some homes don’t seem to be as quick to sell.

In the case of 1062 Avenue C it seems that it was purely just a matter of a pretty small buyer pool at such an exclusive price point.  The home was listed for $3,950,000 back in December (also not a great time to list a house) and just finally sold.  

What was a bit surprising is that after all that time the sellers still got a great price.  The home just sold at $3,805,000 which is a BIG number.

1062 Avenue C was new construction and located in a highly sought after part of Redondo.  It offered 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 3,800+ square feet and a very nice sized 6,363 foot lot making for some great outdoor spaces.

54 Home Sales at an Average Price of $1,629,221

June 2023 Redondo Beach Home Sales and Prices

Take a look at the Redondo Beach homes that sold last month. It was a solid month in terms of the number of homes sold for Redondo Beach real estate with 54 home sales in June compared with 62 in May. Prices were phenomenal!  The average “list” price was $1,594,072 with the average sold price at $1,629,221 meaning that once again homes generally sold above the list price. So much for interest rates slowing the market. Homes averaged $972 a square foot which was $110 more than a month earlier! Homes that sold averaged a very brief 26 days on market before going into pending status. The top sale of the month was a beautiful single family home located at 1062 Avenue C in South Redondo that sold at $3,805,000.

Welcome to the month that was for homes in the Hollywood Riviera.

Things picked up a bit last month with 8 closed sales compared to only 2 in February and none in January….both historically slow.

The average “list” price was $1,705,875 with the average sold price at $1,780,138 meaning that homes generally sold for WAY above list price.  So much for a market slow down.

The average price per foot was $1041 and average days on market was a brief 33 days before going into escrow.

The top sale of the months was a single family at 114 Via Monte D’Oro that closed for $2564,100.

While the rest of the real estate market in Redondo Beach and much of the South Bay may be slow, that’s definitely not the case in Brookside Village.  What a 30 days it’s been with 8 condos closing escrow in the past month, 2 currently in escrow and only one active condo for sale in Brookside Village.

It’s all about affordability….

It certainly makes sense as Brookside Village is the most affordable complex in South Redondo and with higher interest rates, these lower priced homes (compared to the rest of Redondo Beach) are definitely going to have an appeal.
