By the Numbers - Home Sales and Prices for April

April 2020 was a very slow month for home sales in Redondo Beach which wasn’t all that surprising given the uncertainties for both buyers and sellers.

Overall there were 40 on market property sales which was less than half of the 82 homes that had sold in April of 2019. Median list prices for the month was $1,150,000 with the median “sold” price also being $1,150,000 which indicates a strong seller’s market. The average price per foot was $671.

• Up 9.7% compared to last month
• Down 20.9% compared to last year

Home Closed in April 2020: 40 units.
• Down 29.8% compared to last month
• Down 56.5% compared to last year

Home Placed under Contract in April 2020: 41 units.
• Up 5.1% compared to last month
• Down 50% compared to last year
