Can the real estate market in the Golden Hills Support this price?

**Update** The home was recently reduced from $1,050,000 to $999,000 but is still active and for sale.

We recently sold the home at 1637 Armour in the Golden Hills of Redondo Beach for what, at the time, was a very big number of $885,000.  We had 9 offers and the demand was pretty unbelievable.  It was a fairly rare situation in the Golden Hills as it was a smaller house at 1048 sq feet but it was all a single level and had a 4,100 foot lot.  The typical lot in the Golden Hills is 2500 so this is a unique piece of property.  The home sold in May of 2016 and is now back on the market for an unheard of $1,050,000 just months later.  To our knowledge there were no upgrades done since they purchased.

Will the market possibly bear this price?

Only time will tell.

Big Numbers in Redondo Beach Home Sales for June 2016

The numbers are in and June 2016 was a big month in terms of both the number of homes sold and the prices.  Home prices were up year over year in every South Bay city other than Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach posted some very big numbers.  99 homes sold in June at a stunning $950,000 which is way higher than normal.  It’s rare to see median prices near the million dollar price range in this small coastal community.  To see the homes sold in Redondo Beach for June 2016 view our recent sales information.

Redondo Beach Sees Year Over Year Home Price Increase for May of 2016

Redondo Beach, CA saw a year over year price increase in May with 96 homes sold this month at a median price of around $950,000 which was considerably up from $845,000 the prior May.  Redondo Beach was the only one of the Beach Cities (Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach) to see gains over the prior year.  The 96 home sales is a big number for Redondo and is a good indication that the market activity has picked up with more homes coming on the market.  Click here to see the homes sold in Redondo Beach for May of 2016.

April 2016 Median Home Prices & Home Sales in Redondo Beach CA

The April home sales numbers and median prices were once again impressive in Redondo Beach and throughout most South Bay cities. Some cities saw a drop in median prices from the previous year but all are still trending upwards from 2015.

Redondo saw 102 closed sales in April of 2016 with a median home price of $902,000.

March 2016 Median Home Prices for Redondo Beach and the South Bay.

The numbers for March are in Redondo Beach saw another solid month with  89 homes sold in Redondo Beach and a median home price of $893,000 which was slightly up from the previous month.  There is a healthy number of new construction projects coming out in both north and south Redondo which is helping keep the home prices up.

January 2016 Home Prices in Redondo Beach and the South Bay

January 2016 showed to be another strong month in the Redondo Beach real estate market with the median home price nearing almost $900,0000.  Demand continued with no end in sight as homes often sold quickly and over their asking prices.
