Redondo Beach was recently invaded by, what looked to be, giant rockets. Not a normal sight for this sleepy beach town. In reality the “rockets” were coke drums that were being transported to the Chevron refinery in El Segundo. What they do I’m not really sure but they were impressive, dwarfing the specially designed trucks that were going to be slowly pulling them down PCH in the middle of the night for the short, but very challenging move. They arrived in Redondo Beach by barge and were done in three waves.
