Let’s take a quick look at the month that was for home sales in Redondo Beach CA.  January was a great month for  real estate in Redondo Beach especially in terms of the home prices of the homes that sold during the month.  In terms of the number of homes that sold it was  slower than the prior months but that’s not unusual as the holidays really slow the homes going into esrow during December.  There were 62 on market home sales compared with a very low 35 sales during the previous January.  View addresses, prices and details of the homes that sold in Redondo Beach during January.

New Golden Hills Listing One of the Most Expensive Ever at $1,849,000

1620 Spyer Lane - Golden Hills SFR Priced at $1,849,000

The recent addition to the market of the home at 1620 Speyer Lane brings to  market one of the highest priced listings ever in this small neighborhood in Redondo Beach.  The Golden Hills is basically a small strip of homes just east of Hermosa Beach and south of Manhattan  Beach.  Prices have gone pretty crazy in the past few years but this newest listing will definitely move the goalposts a bit if it sells at or  near this price.  The home is unique in many ways for the area, although it’s not new construction and anything that has sold above this has been new or newer and usually larger lots.  The home itself sits on an oversized 3,500+ sq foot lot (most homes are on 25 x 100 foot lots) making for a different  layout and outdoor spaces than you get in other “tall and skinny” single family homes of the area.  It’s also quite  a bit bigger than most with over 2,700 square feet.  Even with the additional square footage this is going to be a big number at $1,849,000 and would be the 5th highest  priced home ever.  Read more about the pros and cons  of the Golden Hills of  Redondo Beach.
