Redondo Beach Real Estate Market Update – August Home Sales and Prices

Redondo Beach Home Sales and Property Prices for August

August was a huge month for home sales in the coastal community of Redondo Beach with 103 homes that sold during the month which was the highest single sales month since August 2017.

The prices were equally impressive with the median “list” price at $1,075,000 and the median “sold” price at $1,050,000 meaning that homes sold very close to full price. The average price per foot was $691.

Redondo Beach Real Estate Market Snapshot

The Redondo Beach real estate market definitely slowed down in April due to the impacts and uncertainties of coronavirus.  Redondo felt the effects more than most South Bay cities with the number of home sales going from 92 the previous April to only 40 this year.  That’s an incredible drop. 

The good news is that the homes that did sell are still reaching new heights.  The median sales price for the month was $1,247,000 with an average price per foot of $649,000 which was a big increase from the prior year.

Redondo Beach Median Home Prices for December 2015

The December numbers are in and if there was any thought that the real estate market in Redondo Beach was leveling the numbers certainly say otherwise.

The average home price in Redondo Beach for the homes that closed escrow during December was $930,840 with a median price of $836,250.  Those are big numbers that still shows no sign of slowing or reversing.   See the chart below for the December home sales numbers for Redondo Beach and the South Bay for December of 2015.
