No Shortage of $1.0M+ Homes in the Golden Hills of Redondo Beach

The Golden Hills of Redondo Beach was always the most affordable way of owning a good sized single family home. Prices over $1,000,000 were rare and were saved for really special homes. That’s all changed and sales of well over $1,000,000 are becoming commonplace. Since December of 2015 there have been 10 homes that have come on the market above $1.0M. The demand for the neighborhood remains very high and with most homes offering about 1850 square feet, buyers are still eager to purchase the larger or newer homes in the area.

December Home Sales Are In – Another Big Month in Redondo Beach

Most people think that the holidays are a down time in real estate….but that hasn’t been the case in Redondo Beach for the past few years and December 2015 was no exception. December saw 76 closed home sales in Redondo Beach with an average sales price of $931,000 and a median price of $836,000. Big numbers indeed.

Holidays in Redondo – Riviera Village Holiday Stroll 2015
One of the great aspects of life in the South Bay is the sense of community
thebeach cities offer. One of the best times of the year to enjoy that community is the holiday season with each city having numerous events and festivities. On December 3rd from 5-9pm is the always fun and cheerful Riviera Village holiday stroll.
Riviera Village is already a charming shopping and dining area that is
pedestrian friendly with a variety of places to choose from. For the holiday stroll, Catalina Avenue is shut down to car traffic and turned into a pedestrian only festival, making it a safe and fun way to start the holidays.
The Holiday Parade down Catalina Ave. steps off at 6 pm and features local bands, scout troops, dance groups, and some Redondo Beach dignitaries.
Riviera Village offers a wonderful holiday atmosphere with carolers and music, twinkling lights, horse drawn carriage, decorations and in years past has even seen a bit of snow!
Catalina Avenue will be closed to traffic from Avenue I to Elena Avenue from 5 to 9 p.m. to facilitate the happy shoppers.
