Redondo Beach Home Sales and Housing Prices for March 2020

Redondo Beach Real Estate Market update - March home sales

March was a very solid month for home sales in Redondo Beach with 57 on market home sales. That was a bit slower than usual but still a strong showing given the lack of inventory on the market. The median list price for homes that sold was $1,149,000 with a median sold price of $1,130,000 which is a considerable number and shows that it was still a seller’s market.

March sales were not really impacted by the covid 19 challenges so it’s likely we’ll see a fairly significant slowdown in the next few months.

The average price per foot was $611.00, median days on market was 59, and average days on market was a pretty incredible 13 days before going into escrow.

February Home Sales and Prices in the Hollywood Riviera

February was a very slow month for closed home sales in the Hollywood Riviera with only 8 homes sold during the month. That’s the fewest home sales in a month over the past 18 months other than December 2018 and 2019 (which is typically very slow) Prices were solid as they’ve been over the past 18 months with the median list prices of $1,362,000 and a median sales price of $1,335,000. Average price per foot for sold homes in the community was $784. Median days on market was only 52 which is another indication of a strong sellers market.

January was a very slow month for the number and volume of home sales in Redondo Beach with only 35 on market home sales. Prices were still very strong with a median list price of $1,099,000 and a median sold price of $1,089,000 indicating that it’s still a very strong market favoring home sellers. The median price per square foot was $577.35 and the median days on market was 34.

What is surprising is that it’s actually the lowest priced home in all of Redondo Beach (home prices in N Redondo are typically quite a bit lower) As of 1/31/20 the lowest priced home in Redondo Beach is a one bedroom condo in Brookside Village. This is a very nicely updated 1 bedroom 1 bath 669 square foot condo priced at $425,000. Brookside Village is pretty ideally located as it’s just a short distance from the beach as well as the shops and restaurants of Riviera Village and King Harbor/Redondo Pier.
