Listed by John Briscoe of Re/Max Estate Properties this is a single level home built in 1955 and pretty much looking like a house built in 1955….but oh does it have potential to be something. 

Although it’s clean and appears to be fairly well maintained, the home is definitely either a big remodel project or the site of future new construction.

The buyer was a Joo H Kim with the seller the Doyle family.  The sellers were represented by Gary and Tony Eliminoufi of Beach City Brokers and the buyer was represented by Gary Elminoufi.

51 Home Sales at an Average Price of $1,637,669

Take a look at the Redondo Beach homes that sold last month.

It was a solid month in terms of the number of homes sold for Redondo Beach real estate with 51 home sales in June compared with 54 in June.

Prices were phenomenal!  The average “list” price was $1,602,539 with the average sold price at $1,637,669 meaning that once again homes generally sold above the list price.
So much for interest rates slowing the market. The median sales price for the month was $1,515,000

Homes averaged $917 a square foot which was very similar to the numbers in June. Homes that sold averaged a very brief 22 days on market before going into pending status.

The top sale of the month was an oceanfront home at 801 Esplanade in South Redondo Beach that closed for $5,650,000.

1062 Avenue C in Redondo Beach the Top Sale of the Month

After almost 6 months on the market this beautiful new construction home closes escrow

While the real estate market in Redondo Beach and most of the South Bay are as hot as ever, some homes don’t seem to be as quick to sell.

In the case of 1062 Avenue C it seems that it was purely just a matter of a pretty small buyer pool at such an exclusive price point.  The home was listed for $3,950,000 back in December (also not a great time to list a house) and just finally sold.  

What was a bit surprising is that after all that time the sellers still got a great price.  The home just sold at $3,805,000 which is a BIG number.

1062 Avenue C was new construction and located in a highly sought after part of Redondo.  It offered 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 3,800+ square feet and a very nice sized 6,363 foot lot making for some great outdoor spaces.
