Oh to live in California

Only in California can you lounge at the beach the same day that you play in the snow. There’s just so much to do in this great state and it’s the reason so many people want to live here.

That’s why we love California and life at the beach in the South Bay makes it even better.

It’s Holiday Time in the Hollywood Riviera

There’s no place like home for the holidays and if you live in the South Bay there are plenty of activities and places to enjoy the holidays.

Riviera Village Holiday Stroll is Thursday, Dec. 4, 5 to 9 pm

Start your holiday celebrating in Riviera Village at the annual Holiday Stroll on Thursday, December 4, from 5 to 9 pm.  This wonderful collection of upscale shops will stay open late that night, offering fabulous finds and delectable treats to all.  The Holiday Parade down Catalina Ave. steps off at 6 pm and features local bands, Scout troops, dance groups, Redondo Beach mayor Steve Aspel and Councilman Jeff Ginsburg.

Stroll with friends under twinkling lights amid holiday cheer.  Take a horse-drawn carriage ride past the beautifully decorated shop windows as you’re surrounded by the sounds of the season.  Listen to local bands playing on Ave. I following the Parade.  It’s a great night to meet up with friends, start your shopping, and get some holiday cheer on.

Finally a new Listing In Fusion South Bay

**This condo has sold**  Please visit our current Fusion condos and townhomes for sale for updated MLS listings in Fusion South Bay.

It’s been a while since there was a home for sale in Fusion in the South Bay, the gated townhome community in the Hollyglen area of Hawthorne.  Ideally located just east of Manhattan Beach, it’s is a fantastic alternative to Redondo, Manhattan and El Segundo.  Prices would be exponentially higher if it were located just across the street, but the location still offers residents easy access to the active South Bay lifestyle with the beach, dining, shopping and more close by.

The current unit for sale is a “C” floorplan (see our video walkthrough of a different Fusion C townhome for a sense of the layout) which offers a very open kitchen/dining/living room areas with 2 bedrooms and laundry upstairs. The C floorplan also offers a 2 car attached garage.  The ammenities of the complex include pool and spa, small playground, half basketball court and various exercise stations.

Located at 5406 W 149th Place unit #18, it is priced at $499,000 which, in our opinion, is low and would be a good deal for the buyer that purchases the home.  Square footage is listed as 1,110 by listing agent Young Kim of Landmark, but in our experience the square footage is actually larger when measured.

So What’s the Easiest Way to Search for Homes?

By Keith Kyle

We’re contacted by buyers all of the time looking for homes in the South Bay and Redondo Beach.  Often times they have been searching on their own, scanning daily through the Zillows and Redfins of the world.  Much of the time when they come to me they’ve just given up on searching for themselves….too much information, too much work….well that’s what Realtors get paid to do and contacting an experienced local agent can make a home buyers life far more simple.

Local Realtors not only can set up a fully customized home search for you, but for the most part it’s a fairly automated system so even if you’re just looking or curious, any good realtor should be happy to help.  Even the timing of these update emails can be customized so you’re notified monthly, weekly, daily, or if you’re timing is immediate, realtors can even notify you the minute a new home hits the market.  There is simply no easier way to search for homes and there should never be any obligation on the buyers part.

If we can help in any way, provide us some information about your ideal home and your timing and we’ll take care of the rest and create a custom search for you.
