How Do June Home Sales in Redondo Compare? – Real Estate Trends

June was another slow month in terms of the number of home sales with only 47 homes that sold during the month.  2020 has been slower in general as the number of home sales has never reached to lowest number of sales in 2019.  The good news is that the pending sales is trending way up with 96 pending sales in June meaning July will be a big rebound month for the number of home sales.  The inventory of new listings has also gone up  for 5 straight months and as of 7/21 there are 129 current homes for sale in all of Redondo Beach

Homes for Sale in the Golden Hills On the Rise

The housing inventory in the Golden Hills is on the rise.  It wasn’t long ago that the number of active listings in the Golden Hills of Redondo Beach was down to two. With the uncertainty created by the coronavirus and the impacts on the economy, homes in certain neighborhoods are starting to sit for a while.
The Golden Hills  sits just east of Hermosa Beach and South of Manhattan Beach, is one of those areas.
As of 6/4 there are now 11 homes on the market in this small pocket of Redondo Beach with at least one more coming soon.

Redondo Beach Real Estate Market Snapshot

The Redondo Beach real estate market definitely slowed down in April due to the impacts and uncertainties of coronavirus.  Redondo felt the effects more than most South Bay cities with the number of home sales going from 92 the previous April to only 40 this year.  That’s an incredible drop. 

The good news is that the homes that did sell are still reaching new heights.  The median sales price for the month was $1,247,000 with an average price per foot of $649,000 which was a big increase from the prior year.
