The highest priced home sale of the month in Redondo Beach was a new construction single family home on a 6000+ foot lot on Avenue C.  This south Redondo home offered a spacious 4,300+ square feet on 3 levels.  With high end finishes throughout, a beautiful backyard and a beach close location this home was definitely a winner but we’re a bit in awe of the sales price.  Closing at $4,650,000 this is venturing into Manhattan and Hermosa prices.

The condo is in great shape with wood flooring, updated kitchen and a nice upgraded look and feel.  The biggest drawback is that it doesn’t have much open space out front off of the balcony as it’s somewhat tucked behind another building.

Redondo Beach Top Sale of February Closes at $2,500,000

The top sale of the month in the Hollywood Riviera (and Redondo Beach zip codes for that matter) was a remodeled 3 bedrooms single family home located at 158 Paseo De Las Delicias.

Amazingly the home was listed for $2,075,000 and sold for a stunning $2,500,000!

New to the market in The Village in South Redondo is a 1st floor one bedroom condo.  The unit is located at 620 The Village #105 which sits just behind the Redondo Beach pier and King Harbor recreation areas making an ideal spot.

One challenge is that it is is a probate sale requiring court confirmation so patience is definitely required! 

The condo is in decent condition and the the first floor location has pros and cons.  Unfortunately the location doesn’t really allow for a view as it’s on the lowest level and pretty far to the east of the building (further from the water).  The benefit of first floor is that it’s the only level that’s allowed to have hardwood floors.  One nice aspect is that the 620 building is very far from the busy street of Catalina so compared with some higher number buildings there’s no traffic noise.

434 Calle Miramar the ONLY Hollywood Riviera Home to Sell in January

While the overall real estate market in Redondo Beach was pretty slow in January, the market in the Hollywood Riviera came to an almost complete stop.    There was only one property that closed escrow in the Hollywood Riviera during the entire month.

The only closed sale was a 2 bedroom townhome at 434 Calle Miramar in the Village Palos Verdes complex.  The location of this complex is great as it’s just blocks to the ocean and beach but does get a bit of road noise.  This 2 bedroom unit is the smallest layout with a bit under 1,400 square feet.  Some units have great ocean views but unfortunately 434 Calle Mirarmar didn’t offer any ocean views but certainly enjoys the beach breezes and weather.
